We are Alex, Lori & Panko! 

Alex is a first line hero during the COVID-19 pandemic 👨‍⚕️, Lori is a scientist who plays with data 👩‍💻, and Panko is our fur baby that we had since May, 2020. Our work take up most of our time during the day, while baby Panko sleeps and play as she wants. 

We moved from the City of Angel, Los Angeles to Boston because of work in 2019. We tried not to miss the sunshine and beaches in California too much, and explore this new city over the past year. We love going on day trips by car or go hiking when we have weekends. We also went kayaking, biking, snow boarding, and apple picking, just to get a taste of the life here in the Northeast. The beautiful sceneries along the Charles river is now our new favorite.

Lori has a baking spirit living in her and has a dream of owning her bakery. She watched her mom baked when she was little, and started baking at home with her sister in middle school. She really enjoys all the work in the kitchen and could stay there whole day. She could also read recipes all day long if she could. She visited more than 30 bread shops on her own in Taipei back in her college days since her favorite ones are everything about bread. She would like to share her delicious work and creations of baking to everyone. 

Alex met Lori in LA in 2017. Since then, he has become Lori's best sous baker and always stands beside giving her endless support and courage. He is also Lori's best taster, although probably not the best reviewer 😆 (everything with love is delicious). He brought up this idea to start a blog for sharing Lori's bakes and aimed to bring in some science to the mystery of baking.
