White toast, also called white bread in the US, is the kind of bread that will never go wrong with any toppings or spread. It may sound like a boring and bland flavored bread, but it's definitely more than what you imagined. There has been a big hit in Taiwan from a product originated from Japan, the 'Natural toast' they named. Although I haven't got a chance to try the original ones, they are known to be more moist and springy than regular white bread. The bread crust are so thin that are almost invisible, which is also one the reasons that became so popular among all ages of the population.

The natural white bread became a sensation after being introduced to Taiwan. Taking Taiwan by storm, many bakeries started to reproduce this product. Of course, as a home baker, I ought to try to make them as well. With only the basic ingredients: water, heavy cream, sugar, salt, flour, yeast and butter, the bread would turn out with its soft texture and smooth sweet cream taste that would just melt in your mouth when you bite into them. We really look forward to visiting Japan soon and taste the professional's natural bread!
