Strawberry cupcakes🍓🧁

May 24 is our wedding anniversary. It is also our cupcake day! We customized a dozen of cupcakes with our photos on the cupcakes from our favorite cupcake shop, Sprinkles, on our wedding day in 2019! From then on, I have been making cupcakes to share with my friends around our anniversary day. It reminds me of that lovely day 💝

This year, I made vanilla cupcakes with strawberry frosting. The cupcakes are adorable themselves. The beautiful soft pink color was from the frozen and freeze-dried strawberry, which I blended into a powder and mixed with frosting.

The slight sourness of the frosting balanced the sweetness of this dessert. It was a lovely combination both in looking and taste. I found my piping technique was a little better than last year; at least the swirls were more complete.
