Moon Lady Cake馃対馃ギ

It's Mid-Autumn Festival today, as it is known for the holiday of gathering together with family and enjoying mooncakes. Growing up, my family used to grab a small table and four small benches and gather at our small balcony on the seventeenth floor. We would look up the starry night for the big round moon and enjoy mooncakes. It was a lovely memory that I would look back on and remember of those good times. 

Usually, we would have a variety of mooncake gift boxes at this time of the year, so I never had the ambition to make it myself. However, living here in the US, there are limited ways to find good ones with reasonable prices. I came up with the idea of making it myself.

This "Moon Lady Cake" is a new product that has become popular these recent years. I actually never had it before, but it seems less complicated to make. More importantly, it has the flavor that I know I would fall in love with, the combination of salty egg yolk and mung bean paste. I can already imagine how lovely they would taste 馃構
