Belgium Liege Waffles 🧇
One of my favorite yeast dough pastries is the Belgium Liege waffles since they are so different from the typical waffles, which are more on the bready side. There are crunchiness on the outside, some chewiness from the dough, and a sparkling flavor from the pearl sugar. Although they can also be made into various flavors, I always stick to the original vanilla bean flavor so that I can enjoy their pure beauty. They can be easily made without much technique and frozen well for quite a long time. We can simply reheat it with a toaster or small oven to enjoy this small piece of lovely pastry for breakfast or an afternoon snack. I've always wanted to try the Belgium Liege waffles at Blue Bottle Coffee but haven't got any chances because they only exist on the menu at selected stores. They actually also shared their recipe publicly, which I plan to try next time!
